Waterseal has served Perth and Western Australia since 1996, delivering leak diagnostics, remedial and new-build waterproofing, heritage damp treatment and independent waterproofing consultancy across residential, commercial and civil projects.

OUR STORY

Built from hands-on construction knowledge.

Waterseal was established in Perth in 1996 by Leon de Gaye. Before founding Waterseal, Leon developed hands-on experience in commercial tiling and later worked with a leading adhesive and waterproofing membrane manufacturer. That background gave him a practical understanding of site coordination, material performance and the importance of reliable waterproofing across residential and commercial construction.

Thirty years on, Waterseal combines hands-on application experience with specialist diagnostic capability. Leon is an accredited Fosroc and GCP applicator and a member of ACRA, bringing practical waterproofing experience to assessment, reporting and scope development for engineers, strata councils and builders.

Waterseal grew from a simple principle: find the source of the problem before recommending the repair, and then do the repair properly.

Waterseal invests in specialist non-destructive investigation equipment, including HF Sensor microwave moisture scanners, array scanning for large slabs, Gann structural moisture meters, FLIR thermal imaging, Sewerin acoustic leak detection, drain cameras and articulating borescopes. This allows moisture to be located and mapped through finished surfaces, and the source of a leak identified with evidence before any repair is scoped or priced. Where the membrane is compatible, high voltage electronic leak detection (HVELD) pinpoints breaches precisely.
