Leakage from the receivals pit threatened the adjacent wetland at Western Australia's only metropolitan liquid-waste receival facility. Because prolonged shutdown was not practical, the repair approach had to be durable, chemically compatible and carefully coordinated around operations.
Waterseal helped shape the repair specification, sealing movement joints with chemically inert polyurethane mastic, installing flexible FPO membrane at horizontal and vertical transitions, repairing static cracks with crystalline grout and applying a crystalline slurry coating to reduce permeability.
