Waterseal investigated reported leaks in a newly installed suspended-slab membrane at a Thornlie childcare centre using non-destructive diagnostic methods.
Leaks had been reported through a newly installed membrane over a suspended slab. Because the breach locations were not visible at the surface, the investigation needed to identify likely defect areas without unnecessary destructive opening.
Waterseal used high-voltage electronic leak detection as one diagnostic method, supported by thermal imaging, to locate and identify the source areas associated with the reported ingress.

The non-destructive investigation narrowed the likely membrane defects and provided a clearer basis for directing the next repair stage.
