PROJECT CASE STUDY

The final roof stage combined crack repair, waterproofing and a trafficable finish.

Waterseal completed the third stage of roof waterproofing renewal at a South Perth residence, repairing slab cracks and replacing an aged, UV-deteriorated coating.

THE CHALLENGE

Ageing coating and slab cracks were allowing ingress below.

Cracking in the concrete roof slab and deterioration and delamination of the existing coating had allowed water to enter the space below. UV exposure had accelerated the coating failure across the roof area.

THE SOLUTION

Polyurea waterproofing with a trafficable, heat-reducing topcoat.

Waterseal removed the existing membrane, repaired the slab cracks, applied a new heavy-duty polyurea waterproofing membrane and completed the system with a trafficable, heat-reducing topcoat.

Site photography showing existing conditions, preparation, installation and completed detailing.

THE OUTCOME

A complete protective system over the repaired roof slab.

The final stage left the repaired concrete protected by a continuous waterproofing membrane and a durable trafficable finish designed for exposed roof conditions.
